“Sharing Beauty With All”
L’Oréal’s commitment to sustainable development
Since 2013, L’Oréal has set itself concrete targets covering all of its impacts, throughout the value chain, from product design to sourcing ingredients, the production process and distribution.
The Group measures its progress in quantitative terms every year and publishes its results. L’Oréal engages in ongoing discussions with its stakeholders to share its sustainable development strategy and work on joint projects as part of a continuous improvement approach.
The process of transformation towards a more responsible, more sustainable business model and a strong commitment to ethical conduct, together with a clear policy of promoting diversity and the philanthropic efforts made with the support of the L’Oréal Corporate Foundation and by the brands, all help the Group contribute to 14 of the 17 high-level Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations in 2015.

Sub-Saharan Africa: spotlight on female scientists
While the scale of economic and demographic growth on the continent is unparalleled, African countries continue to face major challenges: climate disruption, poverty, unequal access to education and an increasing scarcity of natural resources. The L’Oréal Corporate Foundation supports female scientists in Africa so that they can contribute fully and on an equal footing to developing research-based solutions.
